Fazl to meet PM on JC issue


ISLAMABAD - Expressing his reservations over the proposed judicial commission to probe alleged rigging in 2013 general elections, Jamiat-i-Ulema-i-Islam (Fazl) chief Moulana Fazlur Rehman has said that he would soon be meeting prime minister to take up the issue with him.
Talking to media persons after his week-long visit to China, Fazl said that the formation of Judicial Commission would provide Paksitan Tehreek-i-Insaf with the ground to return back to assemblies which the party leadership was eagerly craving for.
To a question, he said that his party has serious reservations over the proposed judicial commission and he would take up the matter with the prime minister.
Terming his visit to China on the invitation of Communist Party a great success, Moulana Fazlur Rehman stressed the need for further boosting the trade relations with China, which is undoubtedly leading the Asian economy and wanted to expand its economic influence to Finland via Moscow.
To another question, Moulana Fazlur Rehman, who is also chairman of Kashmir Committee of the Parliament, said that United States war was not against terrorists or Muslims but aimed at grabbing the resource of Asia.
He said that the Pak-China friendship is historical and time tested which should be strengthened further.
He urged the government to review the economic zone route and making Gwadar Seaport operational as soon as possible.
