KARACHI: Two policemen were killed and 12 others sustained injuries in an explosion in Karachi’s Landhi area Friday morning, Express News reported.
The blast took place near the bus of police’s Special Security Unit (SSU).
The injured were immediately taken to Jinnah hospital, while security forces cordoned off the area.
A bomb disposal squad is also sweeping the neighbourhood for other explosives.
SSP Malir said the SSU bus – on the way to Bilawal House – was the target of the attack.
The SSU was recently handed over the security of city’s sensitive areas following two blasts which killed five people including two personnel of the law enforcement agencies.
